Today is a sad day for us, wrestling fans, and especially for WWE.

 

Eddie Guerrero had breakfast this morning with Chavo Guerrero and at least one other wrestler, then returned to his hotel room. When he didn't come out of his room in the expected amount of time, friends went looking for him and found him dead.

 

Guerrero has a long history of battling pain pill addiction, a struggle that was chronicled in a UPN special last year which is now on DVD. There is no firm confirmation, though, at this time, that his death was related to his lifelong battle.

 

pwinsider.com just reported that wwe has decided to make both the Raw and Smackdown! shows at tonight's combined taping in Minneapolis tribute shows to Eddie. The usual format for the shows has been changed to instead incorporate tributes to Eddie.

 

Rest in peace, Eddie... thank you for giving so much for the fans, for so many years of entertainment, you are up there among the great ones!

5- ¿Por qué siempre que sale un tornado en una película sale una vaca volando?

6- ¿Por qué las mujeres tienen siempre las manos heladas, y a las muy puñeteras les encanta decir ''Mira que manos más frías tengo'' mientras te las introducen sinuosamente por la espalda?

7- ¿Por qué cuando a un hombre le cuentas que a alguien le ha pasado algo en el pito, no puede evitar poner cara de dolor y protegerse el suyo?

8- ¿Por qué nos cuesta tanto conseguir que no se mueva una mesa que cojea? Que empezamos a poner papelitos en todas las patas y al final tenemos una mesa coja pero veinte centímetros más alta.

9- ¿Por qué ponen en Navidad la película 'Willow'? ¿Pero qué tiene que ver 'Willow' con la Navidad?

10- ¿Cómo es posible que nunca haya habido un accidente con el botafumeiro gigante de la catedral de Santiago de Compostela que se balancea sobre las cabezas de la gente? ¿No es un poco tentar a la suerte?

11- ¿Por qué cuando tragamos agua en el mar nos sorprende tanto que esté salada? Salimos del agua y decimos: ''¡Está salada!''

12- ¿Por qué en la piscina obligan a los calvos a ponerse gorro de baño, y a los que parecen osos de lo peludos que son no les hacen ponerse trajes de neopreno?

13- ¿Por qué nos ponemos tan chulitos cuando hacemos el pino en el agua? ¡Si en el agua sabe hacerlo todo el mundo!

14- ¿Por qué los aborígenes cocinaban a los exploradores en una olla? ¿De dónde sacaban la olla? ¿Y por qué los cocinaban con ropa? ¡Chico, pélalo!

15- ¿Por qué se eligieron las palomitas como comida oficial del cine, con el ruido que hacen? ¿Qué va a ser lo próximo, poner de moda comer nueces en las bibliotecas?

16- ¿Por qué nos emociona tanto que salga un huevo con dos yemas? Llamamos a toda la familia y les decimos: ''¡Mirad, mirad, un huevo con dos yemas!''

17- ¿Por qué nos empeñamos en abrir el paquete de fideos con las manos en vez de con las tijeras cuando sabemos que irremediablemente saldrán todos volando por ahí?

18- ¿Por qué hay pájaros que limpian el culo a los hipopótamos? ¿Realmente sacan beneficio de esta actividad? ¿Qué pasa, que no pueden conseguir comida en otro sitio?

19- ¿Por qué cuando comes gambas siempre te manchas la camisa al quitarle a una la cabecilla? ¿Qué es, su venganza?

20- ¿Por qué nos gusta tanto quedarnos dentro del coche cuando lo llevamos a un lavado automático? Nos quedamos ahí, sentaditos, pensando: ''Que vengan los rodillos con pelos, que vengan los rodillos con pelos...''

Everyone knows questions about existence, questions that we, as little ants, ask ourselves, and which are based on the most little things in life. We think, therefore, that they have no relevance whatsoever, but oh! How wrong we are! Well, this is just a small compilation of some of my favourites:

1- Why when we reach the top of the mountain we place our hands in our hips?

2- Why do we open our mouth when we look at the ceiling?

3- Why, if we NEVER use the Yellow Pages, we get so happy when we see them at the door, and we even think of taking the whole pile?

4- Why when someone hangs us up on the phone, we stay there staring at it, as if it was the phone's fault?

5- Why if there's a twister in a movie there's always a flying cow?

6- Why women always have stone cold hands, and the cheeky bastards say 'Look how cold my hands are' while they sneakily introduce them through the neck of your shirt?

7- Why when you tell a man about what happened to someone else's balls (or penis), they can't help acting like if they were in pain and start protecting theirs?

8- Why is it so hard to level a skew table, that we start placing tiny pieces of paper under every leg until eventually all we get is a skew table but twenty centimetres higher?

9- Why they always show on TV the movie 'Willow' on Christmas time? What the hell does 'Willow' have to do with Christmas?

10- How is it possible that there's never been an accident involving the giant Botafumeiro of the Santiago de Compostela cathedral that swings straight over people's heads? Isn't that a little bit taking their chances?

11- Why when we swallow sea water it surprises us to find out it has a salty flavour? We get out of the water saying: 'It's salty!'

12-  Why at swimming pools they make bald people wear swimming caps, but they don't make really hairy men who look like bears wear neoprene suits?

13- Why do we get so cocky when we manage to stand on our hands in the water? Anyone can bloody do that!

14- Why the Aborigines used to cook explorers in a big stew-pot? Where did the stew-pot come from? And why did they cook them with their clothes on? Peel them first!

15- Why did they choose popcorn as the official food for cinemas considering how noisy they are when you eat them? What's gonna be next, trying to popularize eating walnuts in libraries? 

16- Why does it excite us so much to open an egg, just to find out it has a double yolk? We call the whole family to come see it: 'Look! An egg with two yolks!'

17- Why do we keep opening the packets of noodles with our bare hands instead of using scissors when we perfectly know that we'll make them fly out of the packet everywhere and make a mess?

18- Why are there birds that clean hippopotamuses' asses? Do they really get a benefit out of this activity? Can't they really find food some place else?

19- Why when you eat prawns or shrimps you always stain your shirt while beheading one of them? What is it, their revenge?

20- Why do we enjoy so much staying inside the car while it's being washed? We stay, in there, seating, and we think to ourselves: 'Let the hairy rolls come! Let the hairy rolls come!'

Acabo de ver el 'Episodio III La Venganza de los Sith'. Llevaba meses esperandolo, hacía más de una semana que tenía la entrada, todavía no me acabo de creer que he estado allí, que he disfrutado cada segundo de las 2 horas y 20 minutos, y que sin duda, hubiera podido entrar y volverla a ver.

Es el fin de una época que empezó en 1977, cuando George Lucas creó 'Una nueva Esperanza', con unos efectos especiales asombrosos para la época, y con una historia tan tópica, como es la eterna batalla entre el bien y el mal, la luz y el lado oscuro.

Hoy, 19 de Mayo, muchos de los que estabamos en el cine veiamos como un sueño de toda una vida se cumplía, ver la saga completa! La sensación que hemos experimentado cuando se han apagado las luces de la sala, y las espadas laser de los muchos fans que venían disfrazados blandían en el aire, y la eterna banda sonora que sigue a esa famosa frase 'Hace mucho tiempo, en una galaxia muy, muy lejana...' sonaba, es una de esas experiencias que no olvidaré en mi vida, que te hacen sentirte parte de algo grande.

Estoy sin palabras, me siento alegre y triste al mismo tiempo, alegre por haber podido, por fin! ver el capítulo final, triste... porque es el fin de una saga, de una época, de un fenómeno de masas. Esta película, que ha sido capaz de ponerme la piel de gallina en más de cinco ocasiones, me ha marcado de por vida. No tengo nada más que decir, solamente....

I've just seen 'Episode III The Revenge of the Sith'. I had been waiting for months for it, I've had my ticket for over a week, I still can't believe I've been there, that I've enjoyed every second of the 2 hours and 20 minutes, I could have gone in to see it again straight away.

It's the end of an age which started in 1977, when George Lucas created 'A New Hope', with astonishing special effects for the time it was made, and with the use of such a classic topic as the eternal battle between good and evil, the light vs the dark side.

Today, 19th May, many of the people like me who were in the cinema saw that a dream was coming true, to see the Saga completed! The feeling we have experienced when the lights have gone off, and the lightsabers of the many fans in costumes were swaying in the air, and the timeless soundtrack which follows that famous 'A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away..' was sounding... it was one of those experiences that I won't forget in my life, and which makes you feel like you are part of something big.

I'm speechless, I feel happy and sad at the same time; happy, because I have finally been able to see the final Episode, sad, because it's the end of a Saga, of an epoque, of a mass phenomenon. This movie, which has been able to give me goose pimples in more than five occasions, has left a mark on me for life. I have nothing else to say, only....

No puedo negarlo, me vuelven loco 'Los Simpson', es sin duda la mejor y más exitosa serie de dibujos que se ha hecho nunca y una pieza clave para entender la cultura Pop de la década de los 90. 

¿Quién ha visto esta serie y no ha soñado con tener un padre como Homer Simpson? jajaja  pero para mi la grandeza de esta serie es que ha sido capaz de crear todo un Universo de personajes, muchos de ellos depictando estereotipos que todos podemos reconocer. Sería muy difícil para mi decidir cual de todos los personajes es el mejor, pero seguramente estaría reñido entre Willie el Escocés, el jefe de policia Wiggum o el Capitán de Barco y propietario del restaurante 'The frying Dutchman', Arrrrrrrrrrr , pero como digo, todos los personajes, incluso los mas secundarios, han tenido sus momentos estelares.  

Una vez más decir que, en mi opinión, no hay palabras que puedan elogiar a esta serie tanto como se merece, Simpsons Forever!!! D'OH!!!!

I can't deny it, I go nuts for 'The Simpsons', it is, without a doubt, the best and most successful animation series ever made, and an unavoidable key to understand the 90's Pop culture.

Who has watched this show and not dreamt of having a father like Homer Simpson? hahaha, but to me, the greatness of this series relies on the way it has been able to create a Universe of characters, most of which depict funny stereotypes we can all recognize. It would be really hard for me to decide which is the best character of all,... but it would probably be a tough match between 'Groundskeeper' Willie, Chief Wiggum or the Sea Captain and owner of the 'All you can eat' restaurant 'The Frying Dutchman', Arrrrrrrrrr , but as I say, every character, even the most secondary one, has had a moment of glory.        

Once more I should say that there are no words which can praise this series as much as it deserves, Simpsons Forever!!! D'OH!!!!!
